On Saturday, April 5, the industry veterans crossed paths at Manoj Kumar’s funeral. Overwhelmed, they greeted each other with a big hug before exiting the cremation ground. For the unversed, 87-year-old Manoj Kumar passed away in the early hours of April 4, 2025, in Mumbai, due to age-related illness.
Amitabh Bachchan, accompanied by son Abhishek Bachchan, arrived to pay his last respects to Manoj Kumar at his funeral on April 5. While exiting the funeral ground, Big B spotted Salim Khan, who was also leaving after bidding farewell to Manoj Kumar. He paused to greet him.
Bachchan walked towards Khan, held his hands and spoke to him for a few seconds. He then greeted him with a warm hug, spoke to him for a few minutes more, and before reaching for his car. He told ANI that his father actor passed away peacefully. “My father, Manoj Kumar, passed away today at 3:30 AM at Kokilaben Hospital. He had been feeling unwell for a long time, but he fought every hurdle with resilience and grace.
He peacefully breathed his last by God’s grace and Sai Baba’s blessings. Sia Ram," he said..
