Amelia Dimoldenberg shared a heartfelt conversation seemingly about Andrew Garfield with TV star Elmo on her latest date. Yes, really. As the media personality, 30, continues her unconventional quest for love in a local chicken shop, the star hooked up with one of the biggest names in the world of children’s puppets – Elmo.
The sweet new date, released as an eight-minute video on YouTube , is her first one since she finally dropped her highly-anticipated episode with We Live In Time star Andrew. Fans have been rooting for the pair to get together ever since a chemistry-filled meeting on the Golden Globes red carpet in 2023. And they finally delivered everyone’s wishes with a sparky, romantic meet-up at the chicken shop in October.
Sadly it did nothing to clear up confusion over whether they were actually going to give things a real-go, with Amelia outright friend-zoned the 41-year-old screenstar. But now her new date with Elmo seems to imply that she is harbouring regrets over how things ended between them – as she spoke about at the seven-minute mark onwards. ‘I met someone recently.

I feel like it went well but I feel like I was in my head again and maybe I friendzoned them before we could even begin.’ The red Muppet was quick to console Amelia, saying: ‘Oh, Elmo’s sorry to hear that.’ But Amelia is remaining optimistic, adding: ‘It was a great date though.
We’ve gota real chemistry...
I don’t know, we’ll see how it goes.’ Before Elmo wisely concluded: ‘There’s always room for love.’ Amelia and Andrew truly hit it off on their date in October, with the actor making clear that he was ‘flirting with her’ and saying they could have had a real shot without the elaborate set up.
The whole situation made fans swoon and believe in love again. Now this latest update has re-sparked the frenzy to see the two of them together – even if it is through an Elmo therapy session. ‘Imagine Elmo is the reason Andrew Garfield and Amelia end up together,’ @stylesgala wrote on X.
‘If they’re using Elmo to hard launch so help me god,’ @neekstj added. ‘I just know Elmo’s gonna make a cute Insta post when she hard launches with Andrew,’ @adriennemarlo said. ‘Oh she’s def talking about Andrew.

Andrew and Amelia aside, viewers were mightily impressed with the presenter’s ability to produce such a delightful playdate with Elmo. ‘This is a masterclass on how an actor should act when their scene partner is a puppet I’m so serious this is perfection,’ @steffonssnl said.
