jpeg?fit=780%2C438&ssl=1" />A dramatic crash between an ambulance and car in downtown Victoria brought traffic to a standstill on Wednesday afternoon.The crash occurred around 4:15 p.m.
at the intersection of Johnson Street and Douglas Street, according to passerby Trevor Ball.Victoria police say Johnson Street is closed between Government Street and Douglas Street as of 4:40 p.m.
“I was just walking up Douglas, kind of walking the opposite direction,” Ball told CHEK News. “I heard the sound of an ambulance driving up Douglas, and just when I turned around to look, just before, I heard a loud bang,” he said.Ball says he turned around and saw the aftermath of the crash, including the front end of the ambulance being crumpled.
