An action thriller from India is touted as one of the best to land in 2024 - and that says something, with blockbusters like Civil War, The Fall Guy and Land of Bad hitting cinema screens over the last 12 months. Kill, released last July, was quietly added to popular streaming service Amazon Prime Video over the weekend. Much to the delight of movie gurus everywhere.

It tells the story of army commando Armit (played by Lakshya) who finds out his true love, Tulika (played by Tanya Maniktala), has got engaged against her will. Through a series of tense action-packed scenes, he jumps on a New Delhi-bound train in a quest to stop the arranged marriage and save the bride. The train is then attacked by a gang of evil bandits led by Fani (played by Raghav Juyal), who terrorise its passengers and put their lives in danger.

Armit must now do his best to save his true love, her family, and everyone on board. With violence up a few notches to a visceral 11, the Die Hard-esque film sees Armit mow down his enemies in the tight confines of train carriages. Writer-director Nikhil Nagesh Bhat uses the intimate setting to his advantage, finding every angle to make each action scene feel up-close and personal.

An expanding weapon selection only adds to the wild and uncontrollable battles on screen. You have your usual guns, knives and fists - but then there's the unconventional, including fire extinguishers, lighters and even toilets. Other actors who star in Kill include Abhishek Chauhan, Ashish Vidyarthi, Pratap Verma, Harsh Chhaya, and Meenal Kappor among others.

According to reports, a US remake is expected to arrive in the not-too-distant future. It will be produced by John Wick director Chad Stahelski - but it would need to be something special to better the original. To watch Kill on Amazon Prime Video , you can have an Amazon Prime subscription.

In the UK, a subscription costs £8.99 per month or £95 a year, while there is also a special discount for students. You can try the service for free for 30 days before committing to a subscription.

Please note you can subscribe to Prime Video on its own, but it is not as cheap..
