Amanda Holden revealed she is eating a one ingredient breakfast in the morning as she looks to ‘lose the stomach’ before Christmas. The 53-year-old has previously said she “doesn’t diet” and “eats everything”, but with the Christmas period approaching, the Heart FM star has made a breakfast switch. Speaking on Heart Breakfast with co-host Jason “JK” King, Amanda explained she had simply ordered boiled eggs for breakfast.

She said: “I’ve ordered two hard-boiled eggs [for breakfast]. I’m trying to lose the stomach before Christmas.” JK quipped that Amanda’s breakfast “smells great”, after revealing he is a “changed man” at breakfast.

The 49-year-old said he has recently been enjoying a healthy plate of avocado on toast in the morning. Amanda feels “life is too short” to be strict. Speaking to MailOnline , she said: “You have to enjoy life.

I eat everything. Drink everything. “I had a friend once who didn’t make it to her 50s and her biggest regret was that she spent her life on a diet.

I don’t diet.” The mum-of-two does, however, enjoy a glass of water regularly. She believes it is “good for my body and my soul”.

And instead of favouring trips to the gym to maintain her slender physique, Amanda likes to go out running three times a week, reports Woman’s Health . Each time, the star opts to run for around 36 minutes. Speaking to Cosmopolitan, she said: “I have to run for my rosé wine in the summer and run for my red wine in winter.

And I don't do it because I feel I have to; I do it for my own discipline and dignity.” While she isn’t a fan of the gym, the Britain’s Got Talent judge does enjoy yoga, having picked it up after the birth of her daughter Hollie. She says she likes to work on her breathing and feels as though yoga makes you calmer.

When it comes to her diet, Amanda has been open about being a vegetarian. She says her average meal consists of "lots of avocado, chickpeas and quinoa salads". She is also said to be a fan of supplements, having worked as a brand ambassador for collagen supplement company Revive.

She told The Times she would not “promote it if I didn’t believe in it”. Don't miss the latest news from around Scotland and beyond. Sign up to our daily newsletter .
