The latest Man Utd injury news and return dates ahead of facing Lyon in the Europa League quarter-final second leg.

Manchester United will be without seven injured players when they face Lyon in the second leg of their huge Europa League quarter-final tie tonight. The two sides are level 2-2 on aggregate following the first leg in France last week, with all to play for when they meet again at Old Trafford. United made five changes to their starting line up for the weekend defeat to Newcastle and could make a similar number when they face Lyon.

Andre Onana is set to start in goal after he was rested for the 4-1 loss on Sunday, though Joshua Zirkzee has been ruled out for the remainder of the season after he suffered a hamstring injury. It means United will be without seven injured players at Old Trafford tonight, but there could be some good news on the horizon. Here is all the latest injury news and potential return dates of the players.

Jonny Evans - 20 April vs Wolves (H) Evans returned to United training on Wednesday but will not feature against Lyon tonight. He could be back on the bench when they host Wolves in the Premier League this weekend. Matthijs de Ligt - 27 April vs Bournemouth (A) De Ligt will miss the Lyon match through injury, but Ruben Amorim expects him to be back before the end of the season.

It does not make sense to rush him back during a meaningless Premier League run-in. Ayden Heaven - 4 May vs Brentford (A) Heaven suffered a small setback in training earlier this week and could face a few weeks on the sidelines. There is hope he will be available for selection before the end of the season.

Amad Diallo - 4 May vs Brentford (A) Ruben Amorim does not expect Amad to be available for selection this month, but he should be back before the end of the campaign. He took part in an individual training session on Wednesday as he gears up for a return to action. Joshua Zirkzee - Unknown Zirkzee has been ruled out for the remainder of the season due to the hamstring injury he picked up at Newcastle.

It is not clear whether he will be available for the post-season tour of Asia. Toby Collyer - Unknown Collyer has missed the last few matches with an unspecified injury and did not train with the rest of the team on Wednesday. It is not clear when he will be available for selection again.

Lisandro Martinez - Unknown Martinez has undergone successful surgery on an ACL injury, and there is no real timeframe on his return to action. He is expected to be ruled out for a minimum of six months. READ NEXT: Photo: Manchester United 2025/26 home kit leaked for the first time - featuring tribute to Old Trafford.
