Al-Sisi, Mahama reaffirm commitment to Egypt-Ghana cooperation

Egyptian President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi and Ghanaian President John Dramani Mahama held a telephone conversation to discuss strengthening bilateral relations and cooperation between their two countries. President Al-Sisi congratulated President Mahama on his recent electoral victory and return to office. The two leaders emphasized the strong historical ties between Egypt and Ghana, and the special place Ghana holds for the Egyptian people.

They also focused on the importance of enhancing economic and trade partnerships. President Sisi noted Egyptian companies’ interest in working in Ghana, given their successful track record and contributions to Ghanaian development projects. President Mahama expressed his appreciation for the call, affirming the respect and esteem with which Egypt is regarded by the Ghanaian people, and underscoring the long-standing relationship between the two nations.
