Hyderabad :Categorically assuring that the BJP-led NDA government at the Centre was committed to providing more funds for Telangana's development, Union minister Manohar Lal Khattar, on Friday said that the Union government had spent `2 lakh crore in the state. He visited Karimnagar ‘smart city’ and inaugurated four projects, across education, solid waste management and social infrastructure sectors. Speaking in Telugu, Khattar, a two-time Chief Minister of Haryana, said that the Centre would prioritise development of Telangana, including Karimnagar.
He said that the NDA government has promised to provide one crore houses for poor and middle-class people in the country. "We wanted to provide houses for every eligible person, irrespective of caste, creed and religion. Over the last 10 years, we provided 3.
58 lakh houses in the country," he said. Meanwhile, Union minister and Karimnagar Lok Sabha member Bandi Sanjay Kumar: "We will develop Telangana by coordinating with the state government and we will go together in making more development works in Telangana. We will bring the dumping yard issue to his notice and seek its relocation.
