Royal Enfield has revealed the all-new Bear 650 Scrambler in a new video as it prepared to launch it in coming days in the Indian market Royal Enfield has revealed the first look of its keenly-awaited Bear 650 Scrambler motorcycle ahead of the official debut at EICMA 2024 in Italy. The company has released a new video of the bike on YouTube, which showcases its off-roading capabilities. Based on the Interceptor 650, Royal Enfield Bear 650 will be the fifth 650cc motorcycle in the brand’s portfolio.
Earlier it was speculated that the Scrambler version of the Interceptor 650 would be christened as Scram 650 but the company had different plans. It trademarked the ‘Bear 650’ moniker for the off-road oriented motorcycle and named it the same. Just so you know, Royal Enfield chose to call its latest offering ‘Guerrilla’, so naming the Scrambler 650 as ‘Bear’ doesn’t sound surprising.
The video released by Royal Enfield on its YouTube channel shows the Bear 650 with golden-colored upside down (USD) front forks. Needless to state, Royal Enfield Bear 650 is the first 650cc motorcycle based on this platform to feature this suspension setup. At the rear, it gets the twin-shock suspension as standard.
Sources say that the upcoming Himalayan 650 will be the first RE motorcycle to come with mono-shock rear suspension. The video also shows multiple single-tone and dual-tone color schemes in which the Bear 650 will be available to the buyers. The company has used a single exhaust pipe to keep the overall weight in check.
We can also see the 5-inch digital instrument console, fondly addressed as Tripper Dash, which is offered with integrated Google Maps and music functions. The voiceover in the video is by world famous stuntman and motorcycle racer Eddie Mulder. Royal Enfield is pitching Bear 650 as a fun motorcycle for some off-roading, which gets you out from the mundane 9-5 jobs.
Mechanically, the bike will be powered by the same tried-and-trusted 648cc parallel-twin petrol engine which churns out 47 bhp and 52 Nm while linked to a 6-speed transmission. Royal Enfield Bear 650 is just a few days away from its official debut at the EICMA 2024. Presently, the media ride of the motorcycle is taking place in California, USA.
We expect the motorcycle to make its first public appearance in India at the 2024 Motoverse in November in Goa, followed by an early 2025 launch..
