GaadiWaadi -The next-gen Lexus ES sedan claims to offer ‘first-class comfort for everyone on board’; All-Electric version gets up to 685 kilometres of claimed rangeThe all-new 2025 Lexus ES has been officially unveiled at the Shanghai International Automobile Industry Exhibition. Into its 8th generation, the luxury sedan gets an all-electric powertrain option along with strong-hybrid. Sporting the brand’s new design language, the Lexus ES is dimensionally bigger than the outgoing model.
Taking inspiration from the next-generation BEV concept, LF-ZC, the next-gen sedan features a sharply defined spindle shape that extends from the hood to the bumper corners, and the typical EVish blanked-off front grille is present on the all-electric ES. On hybrid models, a slim upper grill is added to ensure cooling performance.The L-shaped LED DRLs have been retained at the front, while the rear section gets an all-new design for tail lamps with connected treatment.
Dimensionally, the new ES is 165mm longer, 55 mm wide, and 115mm taller (110mm for hybrid), while the wheelbase has increased by a good 80mm.Also Read: Audi E5 Sportback Breaks Cover With 776 HP & 770 Km RangeInside the cabin, Lexus has taken a minimalistic approach for the new ES sedan, departing from the conventional designs. It has a large 14-inch screen with OTA updates, which houses most of the important controls.
The fully digital instrument cluster is a 12.3-inch unit, and the sedan gets a Mark Levinson sound system.In terms of features, the luxury sedan comes kitted with an electrochromic panoramic glass roof, rear reclining seats with ottoman function, heating and ventilation for rear seats and high insulation glass for front doors.

e. 350e and 550e. The former is a 224.
3 bhp front wheel drive setup, while the latter gets 342.6 bhp, channelling power to all the four wheels. As per the company, the claimed range for the 350e trim is up to 685 kilometres, and the 550e comes with up to 610 kilometres of CLTC (China Light-Duty Vehicle Test Cycle) claimed range.
While the battery specs are under wraps, the all-electric ES is expected to share the 77kWh battery pack with the RZ SUV. The new Lexus ES gets two hybrid variants i.e.
300h and 350h. The ES 300h comes with two naturally aspirated petrol engine options: a 197.1 bhp 2.
0-litre unit and a 201.2 bhp 2.5-litre unit.
On the other hand, the 350h variant only gets the bigger 2.5-litre petrol engine with a higher 247.7 bhp state of tune.
