An has been interrupted by police as two men were taken to hospital and another was arrested. or signup to continue reading Emergency services were called to Canterbury Road, Bankstown in southwest Sydney at 7.10pm on April 10 following reports of an armed robbery.
The first officers on the scene approached a man standing outside a building, and when he allegedly failed to follow their orders, police fired a Taser. The man was injured when he fell to the ground, police said. Paramedics were called to offer medical support as the man was taken to hospital in a serious condition.
Police found another injured man, who was taken to hospital in a stable condition, while searching a nearby building. Officers also arrested a 44-year-old man who was taken to Bankstown Police Station as the investigation continues. A crime scene has been established and police said "a number of items were seized for forensic examination".
