All My Children star's husband alleges she tried to 'hurt' him with car as she faces felony assault

All My Children actress Kim Delaney and her husband were fighting for a couple of days before she was arrested for allegedly trying to harm him with her car. The NYPD Blue star was arrested on Saturday as her husband said she tried to use her car to hurt him, according to cops. Law enforcement sources revealed to TMZ that the actress contacted the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department on Friday night, making a domestic violence report against her husband, James Morgan.

According to the news outlet, James left after the alleged domestic disturbance on Friday. Once he came back home the following morning, Kim called the cops again because she didn’t want James there. TMZ’s sources shared that when the authorities got there, James talked with deputies and showed them a video that seemingly showed Kim attempting to hit him with her car.



Kim was charged with felony assault likely to cause great bodily injury. Meanwhile, James was charged with misdemeanor domestic violence, according to TMZ. The Hollywood star’s charge is in connection with the alleged car incident, and James' charge is linked to the alleged Friday night fight.

Before Kim’s recent charge, a motorcyclist sued her in January 2024, claiming she rammed her car into him at a red light and then attempted to flee the scene. Kim and James’ relationship issues come as a shock to some, seeing as how in love they appear to be on her Instagram page. Earlier this month, Kim shared an up-close photo of them close to kissing on Instagram with the caption, “Pure love heart emoji #lucky #grateful.

” Kim’s court date is scheduled for April 1. James was arrested about half an hour earlier than Delaney by the LASD, with a bail amount of $20,000, according to the LASD website, oer People. Additionally, James is also scheduled to appear in court on Tuesday.

Kim has had a long acting career, which includes more than just a starring role on the crime drama NYPD Blue, which ran from 1995 to 2005. While on the show, she won an Emmy in 1997 for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a drama series, and was nominated in 1998 and 1999 for the same category. Before NYPD Blue, she had a role on the hit soap opera All My Children.
