Alison Hammond is slated to host a new celebrity reality series, 'Alison Hammond's Big Weekend,' offering an intimate glimpse into the lives of the stars.

Alison Hammond is reportedly set to front a new celebrity fly-on-the-wall series, Alison Hammond's Big Weekend, which promises a candid look into the private lives of stars. The British television presenter, 50, has secured an impressive lineup for her show, including actor Luke Evans, Little Mix star Perrie Edwards and Spice Girl star Mel B. Produced by BBC Studios Entertainment, the series, which is slated to air this summer, will feature Hammond moving in with stars like Perrie, Luke, and Mel B, offering viewers a peek into what these celebrities are truly like beyond the public eye.

“Alison's new Big Weekend series is shaping up to be amazing and she has already filmed with some massive names," a TV insider told The Sun. "The show offers a really candid insight into the stars’ lives. She literally moves in with them and then gets under their skin and sees what makes them tick.

" The insider also noted that this series will reveal parts of Perrie's home life that her fans have never seen, making it "a really revealing watch." Mel B is described as having fantastic chemistry with Alison, with the source stating: "Mel B is also described as a perfect fit for the show, thanks to her fantastic chemistry with Alison as the source added that the two 'get on like a house on fire.'" The source also revealed that no one ever expected Dracula Untold star Luke to sign up for a show like this.

The new series will consist of six episodes and feature at least three other major celebrities who have welcomed Alison into their homes. This project announcement comes during a turbulent time for Hammond, who has been absent from her usual spot on ITV's This Morning for the third consecutive week. The absence occurred just days after viewers called for her to be replaced on For The Love Of Dogs.

Hammond took over as host after the late Paul O'Grady passed away aged 67 in March 2023. The 50-year-old co-hosts the show with Dermot O'Leary every Friday but was once again replaced by Josie Gibson, 40. This Morning itself is undergoing a schedule shake-up due to extended coverage of The Grand National Festival at Aintree, resulting in an extra half-hour of air time and the cancellation of Loose Women.

Viewer reactions to Alison's absence have been mixed, with comments ranging from supportive to critical. One viewer speculated on social media: "Josie? Has Alison been caught up in the Heathrow chaos? Them flights to Jamaica and Florida #thismorning." Others were less amused, with one stating: "@thismorning can watch today with Josie thank God no Hammond," and another expressing: "Oh Lord above it's Josie.

I thought they’d got rid of her." No explanation has been given for Hammond’s absence..
