The fair “will feature around thirty exhibitors from various parts of the country, who will showcase and taste excellent cheeses, sausages and wines, in a show where tradition, quality and authenticity go hand in hand”, according to the União de Freguesias de Faro , which organises the event. Among the featured products “will be the cheeses and sausages from Serra da Estrela, the famous cheeses from Serpa, the genuine sausages from Alentejo, as well as wines from regions as distinct as Algarve, Alentejo, Douro, Tejo, Dão, Bairrada, Beira Interior and other national denominations”. “Most of the cheeses and sausages present, in addition to coming from PDO (Protected Designation of Origin) regions, have already won awards in different national and international cheese competitions and tastings, which provides this event with a wide range of genuine, high-quality products”, added UF Faro.
The event will have a covered area with five taverns and will be open to the public from 12pm, extending its operation uninterruptedly throughout the afternoon and until its closing at 11pm, “inviting you to taste and socialise at the table, in a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere”. “Wine lovers will be able to purchase a glass commemorating the event and visit the stands to taste the different types of wine or take advantage of the fair promotions and buy, in addition to bottles, wine by the glass from their favourite brands”..

The Baixa de Faro will once again host the Cheese, Wine, and Sausage Fair from Wednesday, 16th until Sunday, 20th April.
