Running is gaining popularity among Filipinos nowadays, and Alden Richards is the latest celebrity to join the bandwagon. In a recent interview, GMANetwork.com asked how a busy bee like Alden unwinds.
He exclaimed, “Tumatakbo! Sobrang sarap tumakbo.”According to the Asia's Multimedia Star, his gym buddies introduced him to running, “Ayan, nakakasama ko po s Barbie, sina Kim Chiu, Paulo [Avelino]. Minsan tumatakbo kami sa Ayala.
”Alden is very much into this physical activity right now. In fact, he said, “Sa sobrang mahal ko na ang running, even I throw fun run sa area namin sa Laguna.”More that the health benefits, Alden likes how running connects him to people, especially his friends.
He explained, “Parang ang sarap lang kasi common 'yung interest n'yo sa pagtakbo and parang yun na rin ang bonding ninyo . I don't have anything against people who go out to party or kung anuman 'yung means nila to bond with their friends. Pero ang sarap lang sa pakiramdam na nakakapag-bonding ka with your friends with common interests, healthy kayo, you spread positivity through that, and nae-encourage n'yo pa 'yung mga tao to be healthy as well.
”Will this interest get him to a more serious running activity like a marathon?“Nandun na ako, actually, medyo pabudol na,” he replied. He then shared, “Since natanong na po, may casual shameless plug po ako. On May 11, magkakaroon po tayo ng Mowelfund Fun Run.
We call it Lights, Camera, Run: Takbo Para sa Pelikulang Pilipino."It's a charity fun run po for Mowelfund. All of the proceeds will go to the foundation to sustain the members and to open up new membership sa lahat ng manggagawa at parte ng Philippine movie world.
”The event is organized by his production company, Myriad Entertainment, in partnership with Mowelfund and Green Media Events Company. It will be held at the SM By the Bay, Mall of Asia, in Pasay City.
