Al Adaam maintain dominance with win over Al Nusoor

Doha, Qatar: Al Adaam continued their winning streak in the second edition of the Al Thumama Ramadan Championship with a 2-1 victory over Al Nusoor. Omar Al Obaidli of Al Adaam was named the best player of the match for his standout performance.

In the second match of the day, a pulsating goalless draw was the result between Al Janoub and Tariq bin Ziyad.

Mohammed Faisal Al Mir of Al Janoub earned the Best Player award for his impressive efforts.

Tonight, the tournament will continue with two exciting matches. 

The first match will see group leaders Al Adaam face off against Al Zaeem at 8:30pm, followed by a match between Al Nusoor and Tariq bin Ziyad at 9:20pm.



The race for the top scorer title is also heating up, with Faisal Al Lanjawi from Al Adaam leading the pack with 5 goals, closely followed by Abdullah Al Khatib from Palestine with 4 goals. 

The Best Player award of the event is set to be contested between this duo and Ziad Moawad Khader from Al Nusoor.

Youssef Ali Abdel Nour, the tournament director, expressed his satisfaction with the competition, noting that this year’s edition has delivered on its promises of excitement, fun, and fierce competition.

 

He added, “Several players have caught the eye with their exceptional technical skills, and I believe they will be the future of Qatari football. The main goal of the tournament is to uncover emerging talents and introduce them to the clubs.”
