A screening of Ajith Kumar’s film Good Bad Ugly was reportedly interrupted at a Chennai theatre after a lighting fixture fell and almost injured a young child. According to media reports, the incident occurred when a disco light installed inside the auditorium became loose and almost fell on a kid in the audience.

This happened at Vettri Theatres in Chennai. The screening was immediately halted, and theatre staff rushed to attend to the child, Thanthi TV reported. According to the report, the screening was halted for nearly 30 minutes after the lighting fixture came loose.

The theatre had been decorated with disco balls and special lighting for the occasion, one of which reportedly fell and narrowly missed hitting a child. As the child began to cry and scream, family members checked for injuries and confronted the theatre management, questioning the safety measures and what might have happened had the light directly hit the child. The situation escalated, prompting a police response.

After some commotion, both parties reportedly reached an understanding, and the screening eventually resumed. Adhik Ravichandran’s Good Bad Ugly, starring Ajith Kumar and Trisha Krishnan, hit theatres on April 10. It is being promoted as a ‘sambavam’ (event) film, highlighting what fans are calling a return to ‘vintage Ajith Kumar’.

Directed by Adhik Ravichandran and produced by Mythri Movie Makers, the film features a star-studded cast including Trisha Krishnan, Arjun Das, Sunil, Karthikeya Dev, Priya Prakash Varrier, Prabhu, Prasanna, Tinnu Anand, and Raghu Ram. The music has been composed by GV Prakash Kumar..
