Raid 2 was previously scheduled to be released on November 15, 2024. However, it was postponed. It will now hit theatres on May 1, 2025.
Ajay Devgn is all set to reprise his role as IRS officer Amay Patnaik in Raid 2. Recently, the makers have released a teaser and it impressed the audience. However, now it is being reported that the trailer is also set to be released.
It will be out on April 8. Riteish Deshmukh and Vaani Kapoor will also be seen in the film. Bollywood Hungama quoted a source saying, “The trailer of Raid 2 will be out on Tuesday, April 8.
A trailer launch will be held on a grand scale in Mumbai. Ajay Devgn and the entire star cast of the film will be present." The source further said, “The viewers will get a chance to see Raid 2’s trailer on the big screen from Thursday, April 10.
This is because the promo will be attached with Sunny Deol’s upcoming release Jaat. The makers of Raid 2 requested Sunny Deol and the producers of Jaat and they were more than happy to attach Raid 2’s trailer with their prints." Coming to the teaser, it shared a glimpse of Saurabh Shukla, who played the role of a politician, Rameshwar Rajaji Singh, in the first part of the film.
Besides this, the teaser also revealed that Ileana D’Cruz has been replaced by Vaani Kapoor in Raid 2. In Raid, Ajay Devgn plays the role of IRS Amay Patnaik. The first part of the film hit theatres in 2018.
It was inspired by a real-life income-tax raid conducted by the officers of the Income Tax Department under the Indian Revenue Service office in the 1980s. In the movie, Ajay plays an honest Income Tax Officer who raids an influential man in Lucknow. The movie received positive reviews from critics and also turned out to be a box-office success.
Raid 2 is produced by Bhushan Kumar, Kumar Mangat Pathak, Abhishek Pathak and Krishan Kumar. The film is presented by Gulshan Kumar and T-Series and is a Panorama Studios production. Directed by Raj Kumar Gupta, Raid 2 was previously scheduled to be released on November 15, 2024.
