Aircraft engineering school graduates 88 students

The Aiyura Aircraft Maintenance Engineering School graduated 88 students during its 10th graduation last Thursday at its Aiyura Campus in Obura-Wonenara District of Eastern Highlands Province. Out of the 88 students from various provinces in the country, 17 were females and 71 were males. The students graduated with level three Certificate in Aircraft Maintenance Engineering – Fixed wings (Aeroplanes) & Rotor Wing (Helicopters).

The school principal Agion Aiako said the training in the field of Aircraft Maintenance Engineering was his part to contribute to the nation building, especially human resource development in such trade. Mr Aiako said since aircraft maintenance is his field, this in a way is something he can give back to the community. He said this was also for student discipline, multi-skilling and commitment to building a career going forward and contributing to the nation in whatever way possible.



The graudation saw some important guests including the Acting PNG Defence Force Chief Commander Commodore Philip Polewara and his team who graced the AAMES 10th Graduation. Parents of graduating students also travelled into Aiyura to witness the grauduation. Commodore Philip Polewara was the guest of honour.
