Air India Express to introduce direct flights between Mangaluru and Singapore

Air India Express also introduces additional direct flights to Delhi and Pune

Mangaluru International Airport will offer passengers from coastal Karnataka region improved connectivity to South-East Asia with the introduction of a direct flight to Singapore by Air India Express. From January 21, Singapore will become the first international destination that any airline will operate from Mangaluru, apart from West Asia region. At present, Mangaluru airport provides direct connectivity to destinations in West Asia.

Air India Express flight IX 862 will depart from Mangaluru at 5.55 am IST on Tuesdays and Fridays and arrive in Singapore at 1.25 pm Singapore local time, while Air India Express flight IX 861 will depart from Singapore at 2.



25 pm local time on Tuesdays and Fridays and arrive in Mangaluru at 4.55 pm IST. It has also introduced additional direct flights to Delhi and Pune.

A media statement said the airline will reconnect Pune and Mangaluru from January 4. Flight IX 2256 will depart from Mangaluru at 8 am and arrive in Pune at 9.25 am on Saturdays, and flight IX 2257 will depart from Pune at 9.

55 am and arrive in Mangaluru at 11.40 am. Flight IX 2236 will depart from Mangaluru at 6.

30 pm on Saturdays and arrive in Pune at 8 pm, and flight 2237 will depart from Pune at 8.35 pm and arrive in Mangaluru at 10.05 pm.

From February 1, the airline will operate daily flights between Mangaluru and Delhi. Flight IX 2768 will depart from Mangaluru at 6.40 am and arrive in Delhi at 9.

35 am, and flight IX 1552 will depart from Delhi at 6.40 am and arrive in Mangaluru at 9.35 am.

A statement from the airport said that it is excited that the airline has announced new direct flights to three destinations from Mangaluru. The routes will enhance connectivity and support economic and cultural exchange between people in these regions, added the statement. Comments.
