Sawyer honored at state luncheon Capt. Marty Sawyer with the Aiken Department of Public Safety, was one of four officers honored for their achievements recently at the 41st annual Strom Thrumond Awards for Excellence in Law Enforcement Luncheon. State, local, and federal law enforcement officials from across South Carolina attended the awards luncheon to celebrate these officers.
The awards are presented by the U.S. Attorney’s Office’s Law Enforcement Coordinating Committee (LECC), along with the South Carolina Law Enforcement Officers Association (SCLEOA) and the Strom Thurmond Foundation.
Ryan Trapp earns promotion at SRP Ryan Trapp has been promoted to the position of director of consumer deposit operations at SRP Federal Credit Union. Formerly serving as the operations manager, he will now provide strategic leadership and oversight to the consumer account services and operations departments at SRP FCU. His responsibilities will include directing department activities to align with the credit union’s mission, strategic vision and goals.
Trapp has been a dedicated member of the SRP team for 11 years, beginning his career as a teller and advancing through roles such as recovery specialist, accounting supervisor and operations manager. His extensive experience and deep understanding of SRP’s operations make him well-equipped to excel in this new leadership position. A North Augusta native, Trapp holds a Bachelor of Science in business and accounting from USC Aiken.
His promotion is a testament to his hard work, dedication and commitment to both SRP and the communities it serves. “During his tenure, he has served in various roles across the organization and contributed to or led many projects within our company,” said Andy Starcher, vice president of operations. “This promotion reflects Ryan’s work ethic, dedication, and contributions to the Operations area and SRP over the past 11 years.
” Kelly earns MLS designations Stephanie Kelly, membership and MLS coordinator for Aiken Association of Realtors and MLS was honored recently at the Council of Multiple Listing Services annual conference in Seattle as a graduate of the CMLS1 and CMLX2 designation programs. The designations are marks of achievement earned by MLS executives and staff throughout the country. The designation recognizes a mastery of compliance standards and professional knowledge, requiring the completion of programs that delve into terminology, practices, relationships and the capabilities expected of leaders in the real estate industry.
“We are very proud of Stephanie for taking this deeper dive into best practices and inner workings of MLS leadership and distinguishing herself with this industry certification,” said Tabatha Amodio, AAOR association executive. Kelly has been with Aiken MLS for three years, serving its subscribers in a variety of ways, including managing listing data accuracy, and processing memberships..
