The veteran comedian opened up about her relationship with Sibayan in an interview with her close friend BB Gandanghari, as seen in a vlog on the latter’s YouTube channel last Thursday, March 27. “Looking back, do you think that (relationship) was a wrong decision?” BB Gandanghari asked, to which the actress replied, “Wrong decision talaga [from the very beginning]. “Kumbaga, una, pinanindigan ko na lang.
Parang gusto kong ipakita sa buong mundo na age doesn’t matter — but it matters,” she continued. “Obvious ba? Wala na [kami].” Delas Alas then disclosed that she now prefers older guys or those who are around the same age as hers, but she underscored that she is at a point where self-love is her priority.
“Hindi ako tanga [sa pag-ibig]. Nagkataon lang na napupunta ako sa hindi tamang tao para sa akin,” she said. “Kasi kung tanga ako, hindi kami aabot [ni Gerald] ng 10 years.
” “Nagkataon lang siguro na hanggang do’n lang and meron siyang ibang agenda or ibang nagustuhan or may iba pala siyang gusto sa akin,” she continued. Delas Alas confessed in the interview that she is still in the “recovery stage” after their separation, but she declared that she will be okay again in God’s time. Delas Alas and Sibayan parted ways in October 2024 after the latter broke up with her through an online messaging application.
