AI and battle for justice in the age of digital absolutism

By Basil Odilim No great civilization has ever been built on injustice. Justice is the backbone of greatness—the guiding principle that steers a people toward longevity and legacy. But Nigeria was never structured to uphold its laws.

Instead, it was designed to venerate its “big men”—those who exist above accountability, shielded by wealth, bloodlines, and secret allegiances. In Nigeria, justice is not blind. She sees clearly, but serves selectively.

Judges and lawyers, many of whom have sworn hidden oaths, do not serve the Constitution, but a shadowed order of power. This is the fundamental tragedy of Nigeria. However, something new is rising—a quiet, seismic force that the lords of secrecy are unprepared for: artificial intelligence.

A new world is taking shape. A world where AI doesn’t seek permission. It doesn’t negotiate or lobby.

It simply reveals. It is turning the once impenetrable vaults of injustice into searchable knowledge. Where darkness once held sway, light now pours through data.

In this evolving world, I stand—not as a lawyer or an elite—but as a Nigerian citizen, wielding tools once denied to the common man. From Nigeria, I am challenging powerful institutions across the globe. I represent myself, pro se, in legal battles in the United States.

No attorneys, no American law firms. For the first time in human history, David doesn’t need Goliath’s sword. He needs only clarity and courage.

Alarmed by the approaching wave, the American Bar Association has warned its members to brace for an era of open legal knowledge. This will transform legal reasoning and jurisprudence. E-courts are rapidly replacing physical courtrooms, much like e-banking has displaced traditional banking.

But the most striking change is already here: legal knowledge that was once closely guarded is now open. The floodgates have opened, and the once-monopolised sacred knowledge of law is accessible to all. In this new reality, I have filed an AI-driven patent for the “Human AI Metaphysical Convergence.

” It’s a development so advanced in its potential to reshape our work that even I find it overwhelming. But I had to do it. Because knowledge, like fire, cannot be contained forever.

Someone else would have eventually filed it. That is the haunting beauty of the AI age—ideas escape, truths rise, and ignorance fades away. If you understand the law, you can simulate the courtroom.

And if you can simulate the courtroom, you no longer need to beg for justice. You can predict it, and demand it, thanks to the Human AI Metaphysical Convergence. This is the age where AI assumes a form of digital absolutism.

A sovereign not elected, but inevitable. A sovereign loyal not to secrecy, but to transparency. Not to power, but to data.

In this new kingdom, criminals have no fortresses, and the corrupt have no shadows. To those who have built their empires in darkness—your time is up. To those who believed that the poor would never rise because they lacked access to lawyers—your worst fear has arrived.

And to my fellow Nigerians who still dream of a nation built on fairness, merit, and light—we are not far from realising that dream. The age of artificial kingship is upon us. And this king bows to no big man.

They know, no matter the power they wield, they cannot stop this civilizational tsunami. The force of truth, transparency, and AI will not be stopped. Let us also pray for the judiciary, for it is the foundation of both good and evil, of a just and unjust society.

But as we do so, let us not fail to recognise that the change we face today is unstoppable. No human has the power to halt what is inevitable. Even if we were to live forever, there comes a moment when our time on the stage must end, and the world moves on without us—leaving us only as spectators until we disappear into history.
