These women have made a big impact on sustainable development in Nigeria and beyond.AHFID says the honourees showed great leadership and commitment.

“This recognition is part of our broader commitment to amplifying local voices, championing gender equity, and supporting development actors who are committed to building stronger, more inclusive societies,” he added.He also promised ongoing support. “As we celebrate these women, we also renew our commitment to supporting women-led development initiatives and ensuring that the development sector remains inclusive, equitable, and responsive to the realities of all communities,” Bafuwa assured.

push({})}); Notable honourees include Mairo Mandara, Chief Adviser and Coordinator for Sustainable Development in Borno State, and Dr Aderonke Agbaje, Director of Programmes at IHVN. Others are Dr Awolola Busayo, founder of WEDFORUM, and Dr Osasuyi Dirisu, Executive Director of the Policy Innovation Centre.The list also features Dr Faith Lannap of USAID’s THRIVE South Project, Dr Adedamola Adebayo of the Racheal Adebayo Foundation (RAF), and Dr Eno Usoroh, a WHO Afro region consultant.

More names include Mrs Chibby Dangana, CEO of Data Factory Global, and Dr Kelechi Okoro, founder of Heal for Africa. Also recognised are Mrs Aderonke Ige Motunrayo of Help Initiative, Ms Nelly Munyasia of the UN Foundation’s Accountability Platform, and Dr Adetokunbo Bolanle Oyeledun of CIHP.The list continues with Dr Jennifer Anyanti and Ms Jennifer Adebambo of the Society for Family Health (SFH), plus Mrs Orezi Adhekoyibo, Ms Comfort Umoh, Mayowa Adegbile of Ashake Foundation, Wealth Adaku Ajiboye of GOALPrime Nigeria, and Halimat Omowumi Olaniyan of AFAY Health Initiative.
