Ahan Shetty is working on Border 2 and was seen with Ok Jaanu director Shaad Ali, sparking collaboration rumours. Suniel Shetty’s son and actor Ahan Shetty is working on his upcoming film , Border 2. Amid speculations about his filmography, the actor was spotted with Ok Jaanu director Shaad Ali at the airport.
This led to speculations about a possible future collaboration featuring the actor-director duo. Both Ahan and Shaad posed for paps at the airport and quickly headed towards the entry gate. A source revealed whether they are teaming up for a film together, saying, “Ahan has multiple projects in the pipeline.
If rumours are to be believed, there is a chance that one of his projects might be along with the Bunty Aur Babli director for which the script has already been finalised." Meanwhile, Ahan plays a key role in Border 2, carrying forward his father’s legacy in the film. Stepping into his character, the actor wrote a heartfelt note with a special message for Suniel Shetty.
Sharing glimpses from Border (1997), Ahan wrote, “Border is more than a film—it’s a legacy, an emotion, and a dream come true. Ironic how life works—my journey with Border started 29 years ago, when mom visited dad on set while pregnant with me," adding, “I never realized how much those moments would shape my love for cinema and the Indian Armed Forces. Now, being part of Border 2 is an absolute honour.
" He further noted, “Papa—everything I am is because of you, and I’ll do my best to honor the legacy you’ve worked so hard to create." Border 2 is headlined by Sunny Deol, with Varun Dhawan, Ayushmann Khurrana and Diljit Dosanjh playing pivotal characters. The film is directed by Akshay Kumar’s Kesari fame Anurag Singh.
It aims to honour the legacy of JP Dutta’s iconic 1997 blockbuster, which was based on the 1971 Longewala battle. Border 2 is scheduled for release on January 23, 2026, perfectly coinciding with India’s Republic Day celebrations..
