Afghanistan vs South Africa, 1st ODI, LIVE Score and Updates: Hello and welcome to our coverage of the 1st ODI between Afghanistan and South Africa that is taking place at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium in Sharjah, United Arab Emirates on Wednesday. Afghanistan’s star man, Rashid Khan is back in action after recovering from his back surgery but the likes of Ibrahim Zadran and Mujeeb Ur Rahman are set to miss out due to their respective injuries. For the South African side, a lot of senior stars are missing out due to several reasons.

This includes the likes of David Miller, Keshav Miller, Tabraiz Shamsi and Anrich Nortje who have commitments with their respective franchises in the CPL while the likes of Marco Jansen and Gerald Coetzee are out due to injuries. Temba Bavuma also misses out due to illness. Kagiso Rabada has also been rested meaning there is an opportunity for those who have been out of the international scene to make a case for themselves.



It will also be the first time that the Afghans host the Proteas in an ODI series. Hoping to make a mark, both teams will be raring to go as they return to cricketing action.
