AFCON U20: Ghana to face Senegal, DR Con­go, CAR in Group C

Ghana have been drawn with defending cham­pions, Senegal, as well as DR Congo and the Central African Republic (CAR) in Group C of the 2025 To­talEnergies CAF Under-20 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) tournament, to be held in Egypt.The Confederation of African Football (CAF) conducted a fresh draw yesterday, following the withdrawal of Côte d’Ivo­ire as tournament hosts.The Black Satellites will battle reigning champi­ons, Senegal, and face off against DR Congo and the Central African Republic in Group C.

Running from April 27 to May 18, the 2025 tour­nament will bring together 13 teams from across the continent, divided into three groups—one of five teams and two of four.The top two teams from each group, plus the two best third-placed teams, will advance to the quarter-finals.The CAF U-20 AF­CON has long served as a springboard to stardom.
