Both countries played out a 1-1 draw in their penultimate 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier on Thursday night. Mohamed Tijani’s goal had given the Beninoise the lead in the 16th minute, before Victor Osimhen’s drew the game level in the 81st minute.
Speaking after the game, Rohr said: “It was a fair result. “But we were unlucky, because we had the better chances and organization to win the game. “Nigeria is not a team that is easy to beat.
But if we had taken the chances we had with scores at 1-0, maybe the result would have been different.” Related Topics: AFCON 2025 Rohr Super Eagles Don't Miss Transfer: Real Madrid told to sign Arsenal star instead of Ronaldo’s teammate You may like AFCON 2025Q: Bayer Leverkusen congratulate, Boniface Super Eagles on qualification AFCON 2025 qualifiers: Full results of all Thursday’s matches AFCON 2025Q: Eguavoen hails Super Eagles’ spirited display in draw vs Benin Republic AFCON 2025: 15 countries qualify for tournament in Morocco AFCONQ 2025: Nigeria’s Super Eagles fail to beat Benin Republic in Abidjan AFCON 2025 qualifiers: Super Eagles confirmed Group D winners Advertise About Us Contact Us Privacy-Policy Terms Copyright © Daily Post Media Ltd.
