July 23, 1943—March 29, 2025 Adrian Lynn Arp, Ph.D., 81, of Filer, Idaho, passed away on March 29, 2025, at Saint Alphonsus Hospital in Boise, Idaho, surrounded by his immediate family.

Adrian was born, July 23, 1943, in Persia, Iowa, to Grant and Darlene Arp. He grew up and attended school in Carpenter, Wyoming. After high school, he attended and graduated from the University of Wyoming, Kansas State University, and finished his education at Colorado State University with a Doctorate of Science in Plant Science.



Adrian worked in the agriculture industry helping many farmers and growers in Idaho. He married Donna Kay Baird, from Cheyenne, Wyoming, on June 20, 1965, and they are the parents of Faith Marie Arensmeyer, and Adam Timothy Arp. Adrian and Donna later divorced.

He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He was a lifetime member of the John Birch Society and active in the local Kiwanis Club. He enjoyed associations at the Filer Senior Center.

Adrian had deep love of our country and was a true patriot actively serving the community and state. He enjoyed spending time with his children, grandchildren, and dear friends. He loved photography, old movies and westerns, basketball, traveling, and daily walks.

Adrian is survived by his daughter, Faith (Todd) Arensmeyer of Rexburg, Idaho; son, Adam (Melanie) Arp of Payson, Utah; grandson, Jared Arp of Orem, Utah; granddaughters, Amberlee Arp of Payson, Utah, Kylee (Max) Skagerberg of Orem, Utah, and Esther Arp of Orem Utah; former wife, Donna Arp; sister-in-law, Jean Arp of Lincoln, Nebraska; nephews Jarvis (Gina) Arp of Custer, South Dakota, and Tyson (Angela) Arp of Omaha, Nebraska; and many cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, Grant and Darlene Arp; sister, Kathleen (Frank) Woolbright; and brother, Greg Arp. Viewing and funeral services will be held at Rosenau Funeral Home in Twin Falls, Idaho.

Viewing, Friday, April 4, 2025, from 5 to 7 p.m., Saturday, April 5, from 10 to 10:45 a.

m., with funeral services following at 11 a.m.

Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to the John Birch Society in honor of Adrian’s unwavering commitment to educating others on the principles of liberty, the proper role of government, and his lifelong defense of the Constitution. Adrian worked tirelessly to ensure that these ideals were preserved for future generations, and your contribution will help continue his legacy.
