All eyes were on the Dallas Cowboys to see how America's Team would perform on Sunday after being embarrassed by the New Orleans Saints in Week 3. Unfortunately, a slow start to the game prevented the Cowboys from bouncing back as they ultimately fell 28-25 to the Baltimore Ravens at AT&T Stadium. What stings the most for the Cowboys is that the majority of the Ravens' offensive success stemmed from star running back Derrick Henry.

The veteran runner was linked to the Cowboys during the offseason, however, owner Jerry Jones said after the game that the franchise "couldn't afford" Henry's services . As with most of his comments, Jones' latest quote has raised some eyebrows. On Monday's edition of "The Pat McAfee Show," NFL insider Adam Schefter decided to put the Cowboys and their owner on blast.

"Derrick Henry has the same agent as Dak Prescott," Schefter told McAfee and his co-hosts. "I think Dak's agent would want Derrick Henry in Dallas if that could be worked out." "Derrick Henry has the same agent as Dak Prescott.

After all, the Ravens hardly broke the bank to sign the 30-year-old RB, signing him to a $16 million contract for two years . The ESPN insider believes that Dallas could have signed the elite rusher to an affordable deal had management not wasted money elsewhere. "(The Cowboys) are paying other people," Schefter said.

"They're paying Trey Lance $5 million guaranteed this year. Every team makes its own decisions and if you want a player badly enough you find a way to make it work." Kyle Terada-Imagn Images The Cowboys looked absolutely foolish as Henry ran all over them on Sunday.

The four-time Pro Bowl RB recorded season-highs in carries (25), rushing yards (151) and touchdowns (2) as Dallas couldn't find a way to close up the gaps on the ground. The failure to sign Henry looks even worse when you consider what the Cowboys' running back room did in Week 3. The trio of Ezekiel Elliott, Rico Dowdle and Deuce Vaughn continued to disappoint as they combined for 43 rushing yards on 13 carries.

It's becoming increasingly clear that letting last year's RB1 Tony Pollard walk this offseason was a bad decision. Related: Jerry Jones Gives Delusional Response to Cowboys' Blowout Loss vs. Saints The loss also highlighted the Cowboys' continued inability to stop the run this season.

When you combine the losses to the Ravens and Saints, the Cowboys have now surrendered a whopping 464 rushing yards in the last two weeks. No matter how you look at it, that doesn't seem like a team that's capable of competing for a Super Bowl. Dallas faces a quick turnaround before it gets back on the gridiron.
