For those leaving school next year, choosing the right subjects in the right environment can be daunting but at Xaverian College, there is a range of subjects, alongside a great selection of enrichment activities and outstanding support, that are taught in the impressive surroundings of a university-style campus in the heart of Manchester. The Open Days, taking place on Saturday, October 5 and Sunday, October 13 2024 from 10.30am to 2pm, are a chance to experience the atmosphere of Xaverian and find out more about being a student there.

Places at the event can be registered in advance or visitors are welcome to come along on the day. Those registering a place will be kept up-to-date with the latest news and what’s happening on the day. Many Xaverian students progress to top universities in the UK and comment that attending Xaverian is like being at university for learning style and the academic feel and approach it has towards study. Stan Oram, a former Wellacre Academy pupil, who studied A-Levels in Film Studies, Sociology and Politics, said of his Xaverian experience: “The teachers are highly enthusiastic in their teaching and the courses are thoroughly intriguing with so many opportunities for lively discussion and debate. I’ve also made some amazing friendships that I will have for life.

” Xaverian College is committed to elevating teaching standards, enriching the learning experience and ultimately empowering its students to reach their full potential (Image: Xaverian College) Temi Kila, who is a former Xaverian student and is currently pursuing an Advanced Apprenticeship with law firm, Pinsent Masons, after completing A Levels in History, Psychology and Sociology, said: “Being at Xaverian has helped me a lot. It has improved my social and academic skills and given me the confidence to pursue my career goal of working in law. "My Apprenticeship has been the perfect start to my career, and I’m really excited about the future and where it will take me.

” Outstanding Results in 2024 The college has an enviable track record of success, and this is reflected in the results achieved by the ‘ Class of 2024 ’. The majority of students are now preparing for their next steps, having secured their first-choice destinations, including some of the UK’s most sought-after university places as well as several competitive Higher and Degree Apprenticeships. The music department at Xaverian College includes a state-of-the-art recording studio and three live rooms (Image: Xaverian College) A-Level students achieved a pass rate of 98%, with 18 subjects achieving a 100% pass rate, and a quarter of all grades were awarded at A* or A.
