The iconic actor Scott Glenn, whose career spans over 50 years , was spotted out and about in New York City in a rare outing as he strolled through Soho. The Nashville star recently appeared in the hit TV series The White Lotus as the enigmatic American magnate Jim Hollinger. His surprise appearance on the series was built up all season long by Rick's (Walter Goggins) plot to avenge his father, who he never met and believes was murdered by Jim.
Some fans were disappointed by the underwhelming confrontation , though anything can happen during the 90 minute series finale on Sunday, April 6. The Silence of the Lambs actor wore a head-to-toe black outfit paired with a grey jacket on the chilly Wednesday afternoon in the city. The 86-year-old actor reportedly lives in Tribeca.
He and his wife Carol split their time between NYC and Ketchum, Idaho and also spend time in Mexico. His character is the husband of the White Lotus Thailand owner Sritala (Patravadi Mejudhon), a former actress and singer, who Rick convinced to be let into their Bangkok home by posing as a movie producer. The tense scene took a strange turn when Rick, armed with a pistol, pushes Jim onto the floor after confronting him and leaves without killing him.
The Bourne Ultimatum star recently discussed the scene with Variety, explaining: "There are two things going through my mind. The first is, I don’t want to get hurt. Nor do I want my wife to get hurt.
" "I'm with this stranger in my study, and I don’t know who this person is. The other thing happening is, where is this guy getting this insane theory about his father? None of it is true," he continued. When it comes to the character of Rick, Glenn said: "I think he needs resolution.
Personal resolution. It's not just that he's going through his own damaged past. Everyone on the show is doing that, in one way or another.
" The actor is also watching the show in real time, and told Variety that "the relationship that interests [him] most is Gaitok and Mook."
