ST. LOUIS — The acclaimed Fox Park restaurant the Lucky Accomplice will close after service Dec. 31.
The Lucky Accomplice announced the impending closure Saturday on social media. The announcement said it would be the end of the restaurant “as you know it.” “There are a lot of ideas on the table for that space and our (restaurant) group for 2025 and we will share them in due time,” the announcement said.
Logan Ely, the chef, and business partner Brian Schuman opened the Lucky Accomplice in September 2020 at 2501 South Jefferson Avenue. Ely did not immediately return a call for comment on Tuesday. The Lucky Accomplice followed Ely and Schuman’s first venture, the avant-garde tasting-menu restaurant Shift (originally known as Savage), which opened in 2018 in Fox Park.
Shift closed during the pandemic. While Ely’s cooking at the Lucky Accomplice has remained on St. Louis’ cutting edge , the restaurant has generally cultivated a more casual vibe than Shift did.
Currently, it offers both a-la-carte and tasting menus. “We’re going to have a lot of fun over the coming weeks and hope you can join us as we give Lucky a proper send off,” the closing announcement said. Ely and Schuman, with Corey Moszer, also operate Press Pizza & Pasta , which opened in 2022 at 2509 South Jefferson in Fox Park.
