1 2 Pune: A 21-year-old man died and his three friends suffered injuries after their car crashed into a road median and turned turtle near Tathawade on the Katraj-Dehu Road bypass late on Friday night. The Hinjewadi police on Saturday registered a case of causing death by negligence against the car driver, who was one of the injured people. The police identified the deceased as Ghanashyam Mahadik of Moshi.
An officer from the Hinjewadi police station said on Friday around 10:30pm, four friends were travelling towards Ravet from Tathawade in a car. One of them was driving the car. "The driver lost control of the wheel and the car crashed into the median of the Katraj-Dehu Road bypass and turned on its side," the officer said.
He said the victim was taken to a nearby hospital where he succumbed to severe injuries during treatment. "Three others in the car were undergoing treatment in the hospital," the officer said..
