LAHORE - Two promising Pakistani players, Abubakar Talha and Nadir Mirza, advanced to the semifinals of the boys’ singles category after commanding wins in their respective quarterfinals of the ITF Pakistan World Juniors Tennis Championship 2025 Leg-2 at PTF Tennis Complex, Islamabad.

LAHORE - Two promising Pakistani players, Abubakar Talha and Nadir Mirza, advanced to the semifinals of the boys’ singles category after commanding wins in their respective quarterfinals of the ITF Pakistan World Juniors Tennis Championship 2025 Leg-2 at PTF Tennis Complex, Islamabad. Nadir Mirza delivered a dominant performance against Kazakhstan’s Platon Kpvalyov, securing a straight-set victory 6-0, 6-1, while Abubakar Talha continued his strong run in the tournament, defeating Mohammad Ali of Canada with an equally convincing 6-2, 6-2 scoreline. However, Pakistan’s Mikaeel Ali Baig faced a tough battle and was edged out by Takaya Ishi of Japan, who bounced back after losing the first set to win 0-6, 6-3, 6-4.

In the fourth quarterfinal, Rodion Lukashov of Kazakhstan overcame Arjan Singh Dhami of Singapore in a closely contested encounter, 7-6(3), 6-4. In the girls singles quarterfinals, Kazakhstan’s Yelizaveta Slepchenko secured a straight-set win over Seo Hee Jeon of South Korea, 6-3, 6-2. Serife Pelin Sari of Turkey defeated Rion Shinden of Japan 6-4, 6-1 in another clinical performance.



Meanwhile, rising star Haniya Amna Minhas, representing Saudi Arabia, impressed once again with a dominant 6-0, 6-1 victory over Sofiya Malysheva of Kazakhstan.
