The couple returned to Liverpool recently Abbey Clancy reflected on watching her husband dust off his football boots as she enjoyed feeling like a 'WAG' again. Peter Crouch joined a host of Liverpool FC legends to take on Chelsea at Anfield . The afternoon game gave supporters the chance to reminisce about some of the iconic players who have featured for the club in the past.

The couple spoke about their experience returning to Anfield on The Therapy Crouch podcast, where they discuss the ins and outs of their own relationship and offer advice to listeners. The 44-year old dad asked his wife: "Were you happy with my performance?" Peter scored twice, securing Liverpool Legends a 2-0 win over Chelsea. Following the goal, Peter, who played for Liverpool from 2005 to 2008, brought back his iconic celebration.



Reflecting on their return to Anfield, Abbey said: "Pete, I was back in my WAG era, I was loving it. I was loving being a WAG for the day." The 39 year-old added: "You did me proud, you were fit as a fiddle out there.

" Abbey explained how she wasn't best pleased at seeing Pete on the substitutes bench, and said: "When you were on the bench I was like 'not again', I've come all this way." She joked: "That's why I stopped going to watch you in the bloody first place. And here I am being dragged to Liverpool.

" During his three years in Merseyside , he established himself as a Liverpool hero and played his way into the public's hearts with his robot celebration. Pete reminisced on the "good old days" as he spoke about his superstitions. Abbey thanked him for blowing her a kiss after he scored.

She said: "I loved my kiss blow", as her husband said: "That was like the good old days wasn't it." Abbey added: "I was laughing when I saw you run on the pitch and tie your boots." Pete said: "Did you notice? That was one of my superstitions- running out and then tying my shoe lace.

" The couple agreed the whole day was "phenomenal" and Abbey said: "There was a real buzz in the city." Shortly after the game, she took to social media to express how “proud” she was of her husband. She wrote: “What an incredible day.

I'm so proud of my husband. Never thought I’d see him score at Anfield again!! Two goals, wow!!! “Great catching up with old friends and being back in my home city thank you @thelfcfoundation for making us feel so welcome and looking after us all so well, and to the guys at @lfcretail who made the kid's day lots of love #YNWA .” On The Therapy Crouch podcast, Abbey and Peter talk about the ins and outs of their own relationship and also offer advice to listeners about their own concerns.

Peter popped the question in 2009 before the couple tied the knot in June 2011 in a lavish ceremony with family, friends and fellow celebs. The couple have four children, Sophia Ruby, Liberty Rose, Johnny, and Jack. They launched the podcast two years ago and have seen remarkable success from the relatable show.
