Abbey Clancy has admitted that she and her husband Peter Crouch are now living "separate lives" after 14 years of marriage – and that she's never been happier. The Liverpool model and ex-England footballer are one of football's most enduring power couples, having first locked eyes 20 years ago, been married since 2011 and are happy parents to four children. In a recent interview with OK! Magazine , Abbey even gushed about how they love doing everything together, especially hosting their podcast The Therapy Crouch, and that she "doesn't need space" from Peter.

However, her latest comments from a recent episode appeared to dent that image as she jokingly said the couple spend a bit of time apart doing their own things. Peter added that doing so was important to maintain "a healthy relationship". It all began when Peter talked about playing a round of golf in the warm weather while Abbey enjoyed some horse riding.

"I actually played golf the other day and it was like, I took my jumper off and put on the T-shirt," he said. "For me, that's groundbreaking. It really is, because I've been through some s**t this year.

I've been out there in f*****g all sorts of weather. And for me to just put that T-shirt on, it's just phenomenal." Abbey, known for her dry humour, replied: "I can't listen to this anymore.

This golf stuff." Peter then added: "It's just so nice to play in the sun." Abbey then dropped her tongue-in-cheek bombshell: "We live separate lives now.

He goes to golf and I go horse riding, and then we meet at the end." Peter then clarified: "I don't think there's anything wrong with that. Like, not every day, because we need to do stuff together as well.

But I think some part of the week, I think that's a totally healthy relationship." Abbey later replied: "It is, because I've never been happier." With the jokes out of the way, Abbey then gave a sneak preview of the couple's respective fitness regimes as she unveiled her plan to have a "sensational body this summer" – and going horse riding "every day" played a huge role in that endeavour.

She said: "I ride for like over an hour, just over an hour, because I'm building up my fitness, because since skiing, I had that bug. My chest is still not 100%. And it's taking time.

I need to fit in the gym as well because it's a different type of fitness. I was doing my bingo wing exercise today." Peter then added: "I caught Ab doing a bingo wing exercise.

Would you like to do it? You could do it like Jane Fonda! I caught her doing it, and I said, 'what's that?' And she said, 'this tones your bingo wings'." Abbey later replied: "So I've got this exercise. So you go like, you have to push.

You push your arms back. Put your thumbs far down, and you can feel the tension in that muscle. "And then if you do it the other way, you can feel the tension in your bicep, and it just tightens everything.

So if you do that for like 10 minutes, and your arms are on fire...

You have to push. The improvement in my arms has been incredible. "I want to have a sensational body this summer.

Because every year, I start my beach body three days before I go away. I want to turn up on it." Not to be outdone, Peter then revealed how he often likes to keep fit by going swimming, sparking Abbey to respond: "He still hasn't shown me these shorts that he bought!".
