Aaron Rodgers and the New York Jets cruised to a 24-3 home win over the New England Patriots on Thursday evening. The Jets outgained the Pats 400-139 and possessed the ball for over 40 minutes. Rodgers completed 27-of-35 passes for 281 yards and two touchdowns, one to Allen Lazard for 10 yards in the first quarter and another to Garrett Wilson for two yards in the third.

In between those scores, running back Breece Hall capped a 13-play, 91-yard drive with a one-yard touchdown in the second quarter. Hall finished with 83 total yards and a touchdown, and he now has 290 total yards and three scores through three games. The Jets defense shut the Patriots down all night and crushed New England in the trenches, amassing seven sacks.

Will McDonald IV led the way with two, and he finished with four quarterback hits. The Pats had just 93 total yards before their final drive, which was led by rookie Drake Maye in mop-up duty after taking over for veteran starter Jacoby Brissett. Maye led the Pats downfield with 46 yards on 16 plays to the Jets' seven-yard line, but a sack ended the game.

Ultimately, this was a dominant win for the Jets and particularly for the 40-year-old Rodgers, who turned back the clock on Thursday and delivered a sensational performance. He was helped by Hall, particularly in the first half. Playmakers on both sides, and the defense as a whole, shined too.

The 2-1 Jets will stay home next Sunday for a matchup against the Denver Broncos at 1 p.m. ET.
