AAP Kisan Wing leader shot dead in Khanna village

Times News Network Ludhiana: An AAP Kisan Wing leader from Khanna was shot dead by unidentified miscreants at Ikolaha village of Khanna on Monday evening. The deceased has been identified as Tarlochan Singh DC , who was around 56 years of age. Sources said that Tarlochan was shot dead while he was on his way back from his farm on Monday evening.

His son and village residents rushed him to the civil hospital, where doctors declared him dead. According to sources, Tarlochan had contested election to the post of village sarpanch but lost. He joined Aam Aadmi Party recently and was made leader of the party’s Kisan Wing in Khanna.



Sources said that Tarlochan may have been preparing to contest the village sarpanch election again. Son of the deceased, Harpreet Singh Happy said that on coming to know that his father had suffered an accident, he rushed to the spot with villagers and found his father lying on the roadside bleeding. He maintained that they did not hold a grudge against anyone and had no reason to suspect anyone.
