Speaking honestly in a new interview, Aamir shared that the experience traumatised him so deeply, he stopped travelling by train altogether because he was being touched inappropriately. In a conversation with Hauterrfly, Aamir Ali opened up about a difficult experience from his past. While talking about his gay friends, he admitted he once had some “reservations" about the topic.

Aamir shared that after some of his friends came out to him about their sexual orientation, it made him reflect on his own experiences.

He realised that, given what he had gone through in his past, he shouldn’t be judgemental and that everyone deserves understanding and acceptance. He shared, “Then, I had a couple of friends who came out in the open and said that they have feelings for a man, and I know them so well. They are like my brothers.

I can sleep with them on the same bed. And when they came out, then I felt like that just because of a couple of experiences, I can’t judge the whole world. When you mature, you understand, your thoughts change".

Aamir Ali has had a successful career spanning more than two decades in Indian television and streaming platforms. He’s known for his roles in popular TV shows like Kahaani Ghar Ghar Kii, Woh Rehne Waali Mehlon Ki, and Kya Dill Mein Hai.
