40pm on Sunday (April 27) on the A14 eastbound at Fenstanton. The crash involved a silver Vauxhall Astra estate and a blue and silver Kawasaki motorbike. The motorbike rider, a man in his 50s from Leicester, was taken to Addenbrooke’s Hospital with serious injuries.

He remains in hospital. A 43-year-old man from Kimbolton, who was driving the Astra, was arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving and driving while unfit through drugs. He has since been released on bail while Cambridgeshire Police investigate.

A police spokesperson said: “Officers are appealing for information or dashcam footage from anyone who was travelling along the A14 between Godmanchester and Fenstanton at about 12.40pm on Sunday who may have witnessed the collision or the moments leading up to it.” Anyone with information should call police on 101 and quote incident number 215 of April 27.
