But in the new Prime Video limited series, A Very Royal Scandal, we'll see the prince in a defining moment of his dramatic fall from grace. The three-part limited series stars Good Omens actor Michael Sheen as the royal whose life and public image were permanently altered after his disastrous interview with journalist Emily Maitlis, played here by Ruth Wilson.
Public scrutiny over Prince Andrew's alleged relationship with billionaire and convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein and his relations with a young woman named Virginia Giuffre leads to the sit-down. But Andrew's attempt to justify his behavior in a 2019 Newsnight interview seen by millions has the opposite intended effect. The aftermath -- including the prince being stripped of his royal titles and duties by his mother, Queen Elizabeth II -- was swift and caused public backlash against the royal.
