Fashion week fetes are typically sprawling events where you will run into everyone you know who could bear some sort of association with the hosting brand. You will dance in heels, dine on hors d'oeuvres to full satisfaction, and hopefully get a photo out of it. We won't lie; sometimes we love it.

But there are other times when we feel a little bit lost in the chaos, when we crave something smaller, perhaps more intimate. Where, say, we want to be with family. The Getty's made that happen.

On Friday evening, friends and family flitted into the clan's private Manhattan residence to celebrate ten years of Rosetta Getty's eponymous label and daughter Violet Getty's second collection. Of course, intimate parties aren't anything new to those in The Getty's circle. In Los Angeles, the family hosts gatherings every Wednesday and Sunday for their friends, family, and extensions of both.

This was the East Coast rendition. “I feel that right now, especially, we need connection,” Rosetta tells us. “We need to get together.

What happened to just connecting with people, interacting, and having a good time?” It was a good time indeed. Guests entered through Rosetta Getty's showroom, where RG's Spring 2025 collection was being previewed, and Violet Getty's drop was complimented with screen-printed T-shirts to take home. “With my printed shirts, I want people to see a different side of my mom because I think people are super curious about her—she likes to keep to herself—but I wanted people to see how cool she is,” Violet says.

“My mom and I have been so connected to fashion for so long, and we've been best friends forever, so bringing my collection to life has meant so much to me. Having her trust has meant the world, and I think she's super happy and proud, which is all I really want.” Into the elevator and a short flight later, the doors opened into the family's stately living room.

Up a set of stairs, Ivy Getty, Julius Getty, Grace Getty, Harlow Arquette, Frankie Stark, and more were mingling about on the terrace, sipping Agua Magica mezcal cocktails, Rosetta’s own virgin mojito, and bottles of cold beer, and dancing to tunes spun by Arman Nafeei. Three words to sum up the evening? One big happy family..
