A Running List of Malibu Restaurants That Have Temporarily Closed Due to the Franklin Wildfire

During the early morning hours of December 10, a wildfire, which has since been named the Franklin Fire, broke out in Malibu , threatening Pepperdine University and burning more than 2,500 acres in the coastal Los Angeles community. Officials have declared a mandatory evacuation zone along a six-mile stretch of Pacific Coast Highway, from Corral Canyon Road to Tuna Canyon Road extending for miles into the Santa Monica Mountains. As of 10:45 a.

m. December 10, officials said there was minimal damage to residential structures, with no major injuries reported. Over 700 firefighters and air support are in the area to contain the fire.



Pepperdine University has ordered its students to shelter in place. This area is populated by a number of prominent coastal restaurants, including Nobu Malibu, Moonshadows, Duke’s Malibu, Malibu Farm Pier Cafe, and Malibu Seafood.
