A rockin’ time ahead for the Best of The Week of Sept. 21-27

The Best of the Week of Sept. 21-27 includes everything from concerts and chocolate to craft beer and murals as the final week of the month approaches.

As the leaves begin to change, a familiar song may come to mind for many. “Wake me up when September ends,” sings Green Day’s Billie Joe Armstrong in their hit song. Well, the call to wake him up is just around the corner.

The Best of the Week of Sept. 21-27 features all kinds of ways to wake someone up, from concerts and chocolate to craft beer and murals as the final week of the month approaches. Saturday Judd Dillinger, Heartbreak Jeray and others are scheduled to perform starting at 8 p.



m. at Garibaldi Nightclub, 2700 W. 10th St.

, Suite 102-C, Greeley, for a 21-and-older show. It’s a $10 cover for men. Ladies get in free until 10 p.

m. Northern Colorado Credit Union’s Fall Family Festival is from 11 a.m.

to 3 p.m. at its Greeley location, 2901 S.

27th Ave. The free event is set to feature games, prizes, food trucks, a bounce house and more. The WeldWalls Mural Festival, Greeley’s first mural festival, hosts its unveiling and community celebration from noon to 5 p.

m. at WeldWerks Brewing Co., 508 8th Ave.

, Greeley. Since Tuesday, numerous local and national artists have worked on eight murals near WeldWerks under the theme of “the new West.” The celebration is set to have downtown mural tours, kids’ art activities and other family fun.

The official unveiling is at 4 p.m. The Hispanic Women of Weld County hosts its annual 5K run/walk at Bittersweet Park, 35th Avenue and 16th Street, Greeley.

Registration starts at 8 a.m. Day of registration for adults is $50 and $25 for children.

Prizes will be awarded to the top three placers. The Midnight Oil Bookstore and Downtown Sound will host the second annual Skooberom Sale from 10 a.m.

to 5 p.m. behind Midnight Oil, 827 10th St.

, Greeley. The Skooberom (more books spelled backward) sale sells books by the pound. Last year, they sold more than 2,000 pounds of books.

Downtown Sound is set to sell records by the pound behind the store, 819 10th St. Unit C. Day 2 of the sale runs the same time on Sunday.

Sunday The Loveland Chocolate and Cheese Fest is from 11 a.m. to 5 p.

Reservations are not required. Tuesday O’Hara’s Irish Pub hosts free-to-play Texas Hold’em from 7-10 p.m.

There will also be plenty of live music and other fun activities. Day 2 is from 11 a.m.

at High Brau Taphouse, 915 16th St., Greeley. Live jazz music will be roaming the taphouse throughout the evening.
