A new Japanese-style restaurant opens business on Aiken's Southside

A restaurant that features grilled Japanese-style cuisine opened recently in the East Gate Shopping Center on Aiken’s Southside.

A restaurant that features grilled Japanese-style cuisine opened recently in the East Gate Shopping Center on Aiken’s Southside. A variety of hibachi dishes, including chicken, steak and shrimp are available at Hibachi & Wings, which is next to Great Clips. Among the other options are steak, shrimp and chicken bowls; fried chicken tenders, shrimp and fish baskets; and chicken wings. Appetizers include kani pockets, Japanese spring rolls (harumaki), shrimp tempura, vegetable tempura, onion rings, fried okra and fried green tomatoes. Country Inn & Suites changes hands earlier this month.



How much did it bring? In addition, Hibachi & Wings serves salads, smoothies and milk tea. The restaurant’s operating hours are 10:30 a.m.

to 10 p.m. Tuesday through Sunday.

Mei Yang is the owner of Hibachi & Wings. Her other eateries in Aiken are Tokyo Grill and Soul & Seafood, both located in the Shoppes on Richland. Prime Steakhouse's founder has stepped away from ownership of popular Aiken restaurant Hibachi & Wings’ address is 246 East Gate Drive.
