A plan presented by the city’s Planning and Building Department in July 2023 called for the demolition of the Marie Callender’s building and construction of a 3,879 square-foot restaurant with a 698 square-foot covered patio, a drive-thru that could stack 31 vehicles and a 7-foot monument sign. In-N-Out usually adds two locations to its website when they are near or at construction, about eight or nine months before opening. It often takes projects months or years to work their way through city governments’ permit processes before they reach that phase.

Anaheim has other In-N-Out drive-thrus at 1168 State College Blvd. and 600 S. Brookhurst St.
