Srinagar, Sep 18: In a landmark event for the region, Red FM proudly launched the Khyber Red Premier League, Kashmir’s biggest cricket tournament ever, setting new benchmarks in sports entertainment. This grand event has transformed the local sporting landscape, bringing international standards of cricket right to the heart of Kashmir. A statement said that for the first time in Kashmir, professional-grade cricket floodlights were installed, allowing for thrilling night matches that captivated audiences.

Additionally, an innovative beam light show lit up the venue, creating a spectacular visual treat for all attendees and marking a technological milestone in the region. The excitement surrounding the event went viral almost instantly. On the first day, the tournament became one of the most searched events on Facebook, amassing over one million views within 24 hours.



Fans across Kashmir were thrilled to experience the first-ever professional-grade broadcast of a local sporting event, showcasing a level of production quality previously unseen in the valley. In another first, the tournament was officiated by umpires from outside Jammu and Kashmir, adding to the professional atmosphere of the event. The Delhi Public School Srinagar played a pivotal role, offering immense support and infrastructure to bring the tournament to life.

The event was inaugurated by Vijay Dhar, Chairman of Delhi Public School Srinagar, and Sarmad Hafeez, Secretary to the Government Youth Services and Sports. A distinguished guest list graced the opening ceremony, including Shafaq Afshan, Principal of Delhi Public School Srinagar; Dr Harsh Sadawarti, Vice Chancellor of Desh Bhagat University; Saba Shawl, Staff Officer to DGP Prisons; Omar Beigh, Managing Director of Arise Group; Ishfaq, Managing Director of Global Education HR Consultancy; Shabeena Kaiser, District Nodal Officer SVEEP.
