FOREST ACRES — YogaSix, a national yoga studio franchise, is closing its Forest Acres location at the end of the month. A general manager at the yoga studio told The Post and Courier that the store will be closing Nov. 30.
She declined to comment further. Located at Cardinal Crossing in the 4600 block of Forest Drive, the yoga studio is part of over a dozen businesses that occupy more than 40,000 square feet of commercial space. The $60 million plaza is the city's largest mixed-use development.
The Forest Acres location opened in May 2023. YogaSix, a California-based company, has more than 200 locations across the country and over 630 worldwide, according to the company's website. YogaSix is owned by parent company Xponential Fitness — a global franchisor of health and wellness brands.
The studio was the fourth Xponential brand to be established at Cardinal Crossing. Other brands under the Xponential Fitness umbrella located in the center include CycleBar, Club Pilates and StretchLab. The studio is locally owned by Shay Lansche and is the only location in the Midlands.
The only other South Carolina location is in North Myrtle Beach..
