With Mother’s Day tomorrow, we asked a variety of people to share the best piece of advice their mum offered Mother's Day wisdom from well known NI personalities My mother, Jeannie, has always had an optimistic outlook on life. Nothing is ever too much trouble for her, and even though she is now nearing 79, and suffers from dementia, she still maintains a cheery disposition. Life isn't always easy, but she has never sweated the small stuff.
If things didn't go our way, she'd shrug and say 'never mind’. That expression is one that I use in life, too and often repeat it to my children. Anything from burnt toast to a job interview that doesn’t go their way is minimised by the two simple little words, never mind.
